November is National Eye Donation Month: Give the Gift of Sight

A moment of your time could change someone's life forever.

November is National Eye Donation Month, a time to raise awareness about the life-changing impact of eye donation and honor the generosity of donors and their families.

According to Lions World Vision Institute (LWVI), cornea donation can restore sight to individuals living with corneal blindness, offering renewed independence, hope, and the opportunity to see the world again. A single eye donor has the potential to restore sight to up to two people.

For funeral service professionals, eye donation is a meaningful reminder that even in moments of loss, families can find comfort knowing their loved one's legacy may continue through the gift of sight.

It only takes a minute to register during National Eye Donation Month. Your decision could give someone the life-changing gift of sight.

Registration is simple and can be completed through the National Donate Life Registry, Apple Health, MyChart, or your local Department of Motor Vehicles.

This November, consider giving a gift that truly lasts a lifetime — the gift of vision.
